Briauna Skye McKizzie

Briauna Skye McKizzie is a Portland-based single mom, writer, actor, filmmaker, and community organizer.
In 2018, they founded Stay Litt PDX, a creative collective, alongside their bosom buddy Shrimoyee S.
The collective began by hosting BIPOC-centered book clubs and hosting community parties, and it had regular events up until 2020.

A natural hiatus occurred during the pandemic, and sadly, Shrimoyee passed away in December 2022. That following year, Briauna decided to bring back hosting events in honor of Shrimoyee’s memory, and eventually, they wrote a feature-length script called Killing Kyle which they are dedicating to Shrimoyee as well.

Due to knowing they’d face several barriers in getting the script turned into a feature through traditional means in the industry, Briauna decided to become their own producer.
Production for Killing Kyle began in 2025, and they hope to complete the project sometime in 2026. This feature is made with a lot a love and is currently their greatest achievement - apart from giving birth to their daughter, of course ;).

Most recently, Briauna also performed in a commercial for Multi-Care and as the lead in a theatrical production of a new work by Kathleen Cahill entitled “I Want You" (2025).
Additionally, Briauna received recognition as an emerging filmmaker for their first micro-short film called “Suck”, a timeless story about vampires using a dating app in Portland.

When not creating, Briauna can be found working on playing with dogs throughout the city, reading books, and leaving ten-minute unhinged, yet utterly riveting, voice memos for their friends.
